Agri-Food Pilot
This pilot program targets workers in the agri-food sector, allowing them to gain permanent residency by meeting specific requirements related to job offers and work experience in eligible occupations.
To qualify for permanent residency under the Agri-Food Pilot, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, which may include:
- Job Offer from an Eligible Employer: Applicants must have a full-time, non-seasonal job offer from an eligible employer in Canada in one of the designated occupations within the agri-food sector.
- Work Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of full-time, nonseasonal work experience in Canada in an eligible occupation within the agri-food sector. The work experience must be acquired within the three years preceding the application.
- Language Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate language proficiency in English or French by providing valid language test results. The required language levels may vary depending on the specific job and employer requirements.
- Education: While there may not be specific educational requirements, having relevant education or training in the agri-food sector can enhance the application.
The application process for permanent residency under the Agri-Food Pilot generally involves the following steps:
- Secure a Job Offer: Obtain a full-time, non-seasonal job offer from an eligible employer in Canada within one of the designated occupations in the agri-food sector.
- Gather Supporting Documents: Collect the necessary supporting documents, such as proof of work experience, educational qualifications, language proficiency, and other required documentation.
- Complete the Application: Fill out the application forms provided by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) accurately and completely. Ensure that all required fields are filled, and all supporting documents are included.
- Medical Examinations and Security Checks: Undergo medical examinations and security checks as part of the application process. Submit the Application: Submit your completed application to IRCC along with the required supporting documents and fees.
